The mysterious world of Erika and heath water
In summer, when the heath is in bloom, hordes of tourists are drawn to the region. They all admire the purple "Erika" already so much praised by Heide-poet Hermann Löns. But what most visitors do not know: The herb that everyone admires so much is not called what they think it is. One of the great secrets of the Lüneburger Heide is its water. You can get here on unknown paths. Far away from the car roads and the crowds, you travel comfortably and relaxed by horse and carriage to the natural attractions of the heath-streams. You will reach the most remote places and experience the Lüneburg Heath at close range. Here you will learn where the black stork lives and why it is happy about the trees on the stream banks. See and hear why there are moors where you wouldn't expect to find any, which plants characterise the region, and listen to exciting stories about nature and history.

Learning to ride a carriage
You can learn to ride a carriage with us. Extend or refresh your knowlege. This also might be the perfect present for someone loved. You can ask us for trial courses, apprenticeship or to renew your knowledge. We are your partner in the Lüneburger Heide for that. Use the opportunity for individual classes. The classes can be made to your wishes regarding time and extend. You can gain your carriage driving license with us depending your courses. We can help you with proof of general knowledge (Pferdekunde 2) and passenger transport (commercial driving) as well. We are VDF certified. Please contact us for more information.
